Dr. Hannah Read

Abstract

Hannah Read is a researcher at Duke University (North Carolina). Her research focuses on empathy in human-human and human-computer interactions, responsible AI, and the ethics of new digital technologies in light of users' experiences. Her work also addresses issues in feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, philosophy of education, and philosophy of psychology.

Hannah Read is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in October 2022 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Monika Betzler (CAS Research Focus Empathy). On 14 and 15 October she organizes the workshop "The Philosophy of Empathy" at CAS.
