The workshop explores the interplay between traditional modes of visual representation and their digital reconfigurations within Vision-Language Models (VLMs). Amid the expansive and evolving discourse on digital media across the humanities, the workshop takes a focused approach: examining specific images, objects, and contexts as entry points for phenomenological enquiry and critical discussion. In doing so, it considers the methodological and empirical dimensions of the humanities in the broadest sense.
