While empathy remains a subject of much debate across disciplines, many pressing philosophical questions regarding its nature and significance remain unanswered. For example, to what extent is empathy important for morality? What exactly is empathy in the first place? And what are the pathologies of empathy? The workshop brings together international scholars whose research addresses these and related philosophical issues.
