This exhibition displays paintings and graphic art by Melissa MayerGalbraith in which she deals with the subject of vanitas according to the motto of a poem by Paul Valéry.
Melissa MayerGalbraith studied painting and graphics at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She teaches at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich.
At the Vernissage on 18 April 2013 Prof. Dr. Barbara Vinken (Institut für Romanische Philologie, LMU) will give the introduction.
