In aeons, the artist Rut Massó measures the time in which her visual worlds are set. Her subjects reflect the earliest prehistory of the Earth, and in so going provoke associations with both surrealism and with the old masters. Through this artistic suspension of the ideas of past and future, eternity assumes the second meaning of the exhibition title 'Aeon'. In her exhibition at CAS, the Spanish-born Rut Massó will be showing over 30 paintings and drawings from her earliest work.
Rut Massó studied at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de Pontevedra, Vigo, and at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. She lives and works in Munich.
At the Vernissage on 19 October 2017 Dr. Tobias Teutenberg (Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte, München) will give the introduction.
