Until July 2009, works of the Munich artist Sven Kalb were shown at the CAS, spanning 15 years of artistic creativity. For the opening of the CAS, Sven Kalb made an oil painting - called CAS
Born in Munich in 1964, Sven Kalb grew up in Biberach an der Riss. After studying German Studies at LMU Munich, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He has won several art prizes for his paintings. Through numerous solo exhibitions in Germany, Italy and the US, his works have become known to an international audience.
At the Vernissage on 16 October 2008 Dr. Markus Sattler (LMU) will give the introduction.
In cooperation with the LMU UniversityGallery changing exhibitions take place on the premises of the Center for Advanced Studies.
