7 June 2024

Location:

Biozentrum der LMU, Hörsaal B 01.027 Großhaderner Str. 2 82152 Planegg-Martinsried

Speaker: Prof. Nitin Phadnis, Ph.D.
Chair: Prof. Dr. Axel Imhof (LMU)

  • Nitin Phadnis is Professor at the School of Biological Sciences of the University of Utah. His research is focused on the genetic and molecular basis of genetic conflicts and speciation. In particular, he is interested in understanding the role of genetic conflict involving segregation distorters as a driving force in the evolution of new species. He is part of the CAS Research Focus Group “The Evolution of Incompatibilities. Molecular Mechanisms of Speciation” and currently Visiting Fellow at CAS.
