Online Workshop organized by Dr. Magdalena Obermaier (CAS Researcher in Residence/LMU).
How can we inspire and equip bystanders to step in against digital violence—and support them in its aftermath? In what ways can AI be leveraged to empower those who take a stand in harmful online spaces? And what insights from across disciplines can help us better predict and reduce online victimization? We will examine both the risks and possibilities, and chart pathways for research aimed at building safer digital environments.
Participants include Magdalena Celuch (TAU), Friederike Funk (LMU), Inmaculada Marín-López (Universidad de Córdoba), Matti Näsi (University of Helsinki), Diana Rieger (LMU), Nina Savela (University of Helsinki), Iina Savolainen (CAS Fellow/TAU), Ursula Schmid (LMU).
Magdalena Obermaier is CAS Researcher in Residence during the winter semester 2025/26.
