Sara M. Butler is Professor of British History at Ohio State University. Her research focuses on the social history of the law and her most recent authored book is Pain, Penance and Protest: Peine Forte et Dure in Medieval England (Cambridge University Press, 2022). Sara Butler is a member of the CAS Research Group “Femicide: Interdisciplinary Approaches to a Global Historical Phenomenon”.

The research colloquium at CAS primarily addresses university members.
