Nucleic Acid Stress and Surveillance

Date:

Wed:
all day

22 July 2026

Location:

Center for Advanced Studies LMU Seestraße 13 80802 München

Workshop organized by Prof. Dr. Roland Beckmann, Prof. Dr. Karl-Peter Hopfner, and Prof. Dr. Julian Stingele (LMU).

Intrinsic and extrinsic stresses continuously challenge the integrity and functionality of DNA and RNA, necessitating sophisticated checkpoint, repair, and quality control pathways to safeguard genome stability and gene expression fidelity. Bringing together leading researchers at the interface between DNA and RNA biology, this meeting will highlight emerging mechanisms of nucleic acid stress responses and discuss their role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing disease.

Participants include Rachel Green (CAS Fellow/Johns Hopkins), Toshifumi Inada (LMU-Todai-Fellow/The University of Tokyo), Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla (LMU).

The event is part of the CAS Research Focus “Nucleic Acid Stress”.
