Location:

Center for Advanced Studies Seestr. 13 80802 Munich

Workshop led by Dr. Vanessa Carr (CAS Researcher in Residence/LMU)

The workshop will address, in various ways, the question of what exactly distinctively practical representation of action amounts to. Issues here include: how practical representation relates to ability, practical knowledge and practical reasoning; the relationship between practical, perceptual and linguistic representation; and the relationship between personal and sub-personal practical representation.

Participants include: Gabriele Ferretti (Ruhr-University Bochum), Sophie Kikkert (LMU), Carlotta Pavese (Cornell University), Antonia Peacocke (Stanford University), and Silvano Zipoli Caiani (University of Florence).

Vanessa Carr is CAS Researcher in Residence during the summer semester 2024.
