Predictive Attention

Date:

18 March 2024 - 19 March 2024

Location:

Center for Advanced Studies Seestr. 13 80802 Munich

Workshop led by Dr. Siyi Chen (CAS Researcher in Residence/LMU)

Active and predictive perception is considered essential for adaptive behavior in complex and dynamic environments and is thus at the forefront of current scientific theorizing in Cognitive Neuroscience. The speakers represent different theoretical stances and methodological approaches (from behavioral through neuroscientific to computational-modeling approaches). The overarching goal is to clarify where and why divergences arise and identify the most promising directions for resolving them.

Participants include: Dr. Tom Beesley (Lancaster University, UK), Dr. Sage Boettcher (University of Oxford, UK), Prof. Floris de Lange (Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands), Prof. Fang Fang (Peking University, China), Prof. Nikolaus Kriegeskorte (Columbia University, USA), Dr. Marius Peelen (Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands), and Prof. Heleen Slagter (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands)
