18 January 2027

Location:

Gene Center Feodor-Lynen-Straße 25 Lynen Lecture Room 81377 München

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Didier Trono
Chair: Prof. Dr. Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla (LMU)

Didier Trono is a Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he heads the Laboratory of Virology and Genetics. His research focuses on epigenetics, particularly on the role of retroelements and the mechanisms that regulate their activity. He investigates how these genomic elements influence the development and physiology of higher organisms, including humans.

This talk is part of the CAS Research Focus “Nucleic Acid Stress” and organized together with the Gene Center at LMU Munich.
