Speaker: Prof. Dr. Benjamin List

Benjamin List is Director of the Department of Homogeneous Catalysis at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim a. d. Ruhr. He co-founded the field of asymmetric organocatalysis – a process that can be used to construct molecules. For the discovery of this third class of catalysts, he was awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Dave MacMillan.

The lecture is part of the Symposium “New Frontier in Chemical Biology”. The Symposium is a joint event of the SFB1309, the C-NATM Cluster and the CAS Research Focus “Nucleic Acid Therapeutics”.
