Helge Jordheim is the Director of the Centre for Global Sustainability at the University of Oslo.
In his research, he tries to understand the frameworks people use to make sense of the climate and environmental crisis. He focuses on the words people use – such as progress, development, global, Anthropocene, crisis, and sustainability – because they help shape what people are able to see and do.
Helge Jordheim is a Visiting Fellow at CAS LMU in June 2026 upon invitation of Dr. Sina Steglich (LMU) in the context of the CAS Research Focus “Scales”.
