Karsten Fischer is Professor of Political Theory at LMU Munich. His research focuses on the history of political thought, liberalism, populism, democratic theory, and the relationship between politics and religion. His numerous publications include: Die Zukunft einer Provokation. Religion im liberalen Staat, Berlin 2009; The Paradox of Autonomy.
