Theoretical Philosophy

Leah Henderson is Professor in the Department of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Groningen.

Her research has been largely in the field of social epistemology, which is the study of how we should go about acquiring true beliefs and knowledge. She also works on a range of general topics in philosophy of science, and some specific topics in philosophy of physics.

She is a Visiting Fellow at CAS LMU in June 2025 upon invitation of Dr. Andreas Doepp and Prof. Dr. Stephan Hartmann (LMU) in the context of the CAS Research Focus Bayesian Reasoning.

On 26 June 2025 she will give a lecture on “Bayesian Insights on Polarization and Disagreement”.
