Archaeology
Margarita Díaz-Andreu is an ICREA Research Professor at the University of Barcelona.
Her research interest is in prehistoric archaeology, and the rock art and archaeoacoustics of Western Europe. She is also concerned with heritage, history of archaeology and the politics of identity in archaeology (social engagement, nationalism and colonialism, ethnicity and gender).
She is a Visiting Fellow at CAS LMU in May and June 2025 and works together with Prof. Dr. Philipp Stockhammer (LMU).
