Martin Kampmann is associate professor at the Sandler Neurosciences Center at the University of California, San Francisco.
The Kampmann lab develops and applies innovative technologies to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms of human diseases, and to discover new therapeutic strategies. A major focus of his lab research are neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases.
They are pioneers of CRISPR-based functional genomics platform in human iPSC-derived neurons, glia and 3D assembloids, which enables genome-wide modifier screens of disease-relevant cell biology in patient-derived cells.
In July, Martin Kampmann is fellow at CAS as part of the CAS Research Focus CRISPR/Cas. He gives a talk at the workshop "Genetic Engineering Methods. The Power of CRISPR/Cas9-Based Technologies".
