Niklaus Largier is Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley.
His current research and teaching focuses on the history of the imagination and the emotions; and on the history of the senses and of the production of sense experience from the Middle Ages to the Modern era.
Niklaus Largier is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in May 2022 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Susanne Reichlin (CAS Research Focus Empathy). On May 30 he will give the lecture „Mit Auerbach lesen“.
