Noam Yuchtman is Assistant Professor at the Haas School of Business of the University of California, Berkeley.
His research focuses include economic history questions concerning the development of educational institutions, human capital and job market institutions. He is the coauthor, along with Prof. Dr. Davide Cantoni, of the recently published work "Medieval Universities, Legal Institutions, and the Commercial Revolution" (2007).
Noam Yuchtman will be at the CAS in February 2013 and November 2014 as part of CAS Research Focus "Mechanisms of Persistence in Economic History" following an invitation from Prof. Davide Cantoni, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Ludger Wößmann. He participates in the conference "The Long Shadow of History - Mechanisms of Persistence in Economics and the Social Scienes" on 21 to 22 November 2014.
