Rüstem Ertuğ Altınay is Associate Professor of Performing Arts and the founding director of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Performance and Politics in the Department of Cultural and Environmental Heritage at the University of Milan.
In his teaching and research, he employs the transdisciplinary approach of performance studies to explore the politics and aesthetics of everyday life, and the relationship between artistic and everyday performance.
Rüstem Ertuğ Altınay is a Visiting Fellow at CAS LMU from May to June 2026 upon invitation of Prof. Dr. Meike Wagner (LMU).
