Workshop organized by Prof. Dr. Pierre-Héli Monot (CAS Young Center/LMU) and PD Dr. Tim Lanzendörfer (Frankfurt a. M.).
What are the forms of work in the contemporary humanities? In an environment in which much attention has been given to the practices of university scholarship, the question between these practices and the forms in which they are undertaken have received comparatively little attention. The Workshop seeks to make amends here by starting an interdisciplinary and international conversation about the work of academic forms, as both an initial critical inventory-making and as agenda-setting.
Participants include: Maia Almeida-Amir (Newcastle), David Berry (Sussex), Rachel Sagner Buurma (Swarthmore), James Dowthwaite (Jena), Stacy Gillis (Newcastle), Laura Handl (Dresden), Kirsten Harris (Warwick), Laura Heffernan (North Florida), Suhair Hindiyeh (Durham), Roslyn Irving (Mainz), David James (Birmingham), Joey Jenkins (Newcastle), Thomas Karshan (East Anglia), Torsten Kathke (Mainz), Patricia McManus (Brighton), Elisabeth Reichel (Osnabrück), Rebecca Roach (Birmingham), Larissa Schindler (Bayreuth), Carlos Spoerhase (LMU), Ben Springett (Manchester), André Volpato (Campinas), Jane Winters (University of London), Florian Zappe (Göttingen).
The workshop is part of the CAS Research Focus “Scales”/”Maßstäbe”.
