This conference seeks to concentrate on the collaborative aspects of theatre sound, emphasizing the distributed forms of creation, the shared agencies of practitioners and non-human agents, and the emergence of meaning and experience that “sound“ in its many dimensions warrants. Scholars and practitioners from theatre cultures all around the globe will discuss sound as a fundamental condition and creative practice of theatre including aspects such as music(king), voice, acoustics, technology, dramaturgy, and listening. In particular the conference is aimed to shed light on the interactions, co-creative processes, and relations at play here. To do so, the conference will employ different formats: from presentations to panel discussions, from artist’s workshops to streamed audio papers.
Teilnehmer:innen sind die Mitglieder der CAS Research Group „The Sound of Theatre“.
