Philosophy
Richard Holton is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, and a fellow of Peterhouse. Before that he taught at MIT, at Monash, the ANU, in Sheffield and in Edinburgh. He holds a PhD from Princeton University. His research focuses on moral psychology and related areas, and on ethics, philosophy of law and philosophy of language.
Richard Holton is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in April 2022 in the context of the CAS Research Focus Empathyand at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Monika Betzler.
In December 2024 and in March/April 2025, he will again be a Visiting Fellow at CAS: At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Markus Paulus, he is a member of his CAS Research Group The Ontogeny of Normativity.
